Day 20: Farmer's Market
Even at times of stress, I have come to take a bit more time during weekend mornings to relax and to appreciate what's around me. I had the opportunity to walk around a farmer's market in Oakland. It's a relatively small market in size with predominantly White vendors (which I am not used to, but feels very San Francisco in my opinion). Talking to vendors, tasting their products, and walking around from one vendor to the next made me think of the summer Saturdays in Madison, WI that I grew to love. I loved to witness the care that vendors had for their products, and as a buyer and a consumer, me becoming the recipient and the contributor to sustaining their businesses. It made it even more special to be able to share that moment with someone.
